8 NFL Veterans in Danger of Losing Their Jobs

This former 2013 second-round pick has already outlasted his welcome in Tennessee, it seems. A deep ball specialist who was being banked on to develop his route tree further than the “go route,” an upside target who the Titans had hoped would develop more reliable hands, Justin Hunter hasn’t delivered on his promise yet. He’s a size-speed freak, but has had a career catch rate of 42.20%, and his Target NEP dropped from a promising rookie score of 20.11 to an abhorrent -0.24.

In the second round of this year’s draft, the Titans selected another former SEC receiver with freakish measurables in need of refinement: former Missouri Tiger Dorial Green-Beckham. DGB was picked with the 40th overall selection and looks to jump into a starting role right away. Our own Jason Schandl examined the off-field risk that he brings, but notes that his physical tools -- especially red zone dominance -- will be desperately in need by the Titans. I can’t imagine that Tennessee wants to deal with more than one project, so it appears that his ridiculously unreliable Hunter is on his last legs with this team.
