Week 2 seemed to right some of the wrongs that Week 1 had thrust on football fans and fantasy footballers alike.
After a Week 1 in which more touchdowns were scored by tight ends than wide receivers across the NFL, studs like Odell Beckham and Calvin Johnson rounded back into form in Week 2. Peyton Manning seemed to get his groove back if only for one half of play. And Adrian Peterson turned back the clock to 2012 on the Lions.
But when the fantasy gods giveth on one hand, they taketh away on the other, so not everything was right in the world of fantasy. Despite a juicy matchup, I am personally chagrined to announce that Marshawn Lynch put up pedestrian numbers against the what-we-thought-was-soft-at-the-time-and-may-still-end-up-being-soft Packers run defense. And as many of my esteemed colleagues can attest, stacking Brandin Cooks with Drew Brees was about as joyful as eating a moldy sandwich.
The point is that, early in the season, performances are fluid, and sample sizes matter. Therefore it's a fool's errand to chase points or shy away from proven studs based on two games.
And while Vegas isn't predicting any high-flying matchups with huge over/unders like there have been the past two weeks, there are, as always, some solid matchups you should be exploiting in Week 3. Here are some of the studs you should be looking at putting in your lineups come Sunday.
