Quarterbacks

High-Cost Option: Tom Brady $8,500

Back to Tom Brady once again after he posted yet another 30-plus fantasy outing last week, his third of the season. Brady has yet to drop below 25 fantasy points with DraftKings scoring and until he does, he continues to be an elite play at the position with ridiculously low variance. The Patriots are 14-point home favorites -- yes 14 points -- against Washington this week as they try to slow an offense that is putting up a league-high 35.6 points per game. The Redskins haven't fared too poorly against opposing quarterbacks on the season but have struggled recently, giving up 20-plus points to Jameis Winston and Ryan Fitzpatrick in their last two games. No offense to those guys, but Brady should decimate this Washington secondary in what Vegas projects to be this week's highest scoring affair.

Mid-Cost Option: Ben Roethlisberger $6,600

The Raiders are giving up the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks and are the unlucky recipient of going against a Steelers offense that will likely be leaning on its passing attack for the remainder of the season. Ben Roethlisberger had a rough outing against Cincinnati in his first week back from injury but will look to get things going against a Raiders squad allowing the second-most passing yards per game. The Raiders are also allowing the sixth-most red zone trips to opposing offenses per game, which could spell trouble if Big Ben is able to get in an early groove. If you buy into the west coast teams starting slowly after traveling east for 1:00 p.m. games mantra, Roethlisberger could be your guy this week.

Low-Cost Option: Jameis Winston $5,200

Targeting the Giants defense a week after giving up 52 points isn't really unique or creative, but does it matter? Jameis Winston enters a great spot this week to take on a leaky secondary that just gave up 505* passing yards and 7 touchdowns to Drew Brees. The Giants have yielded the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks, and Winston has been solid as of late, scoring two touchdowns in each of his last two games. Tampa Bay is a 2.5-point underdog at home, implying a close game that may require Winston to throw the ball. At $5,200 and one of the cheapest plays of the week, Winston should easily retain value and could lead to building some very unique lineups.

GPP Wildcard: Kirk Cousins $5,100

The aforementioned 14-point underdogs should lead to a ton of opportunities for Kirk Cousins to play catch-up in New England. Cousins is coming off his best performance of the season, and he should finally get DeSean Jackson back this week. Washington has thrown the third-fewest pass plays of 30-plus yards this year, a statistic that Jackson has led all receivers in since he joined the league (73 in his career). Cousins will need Jackson's big plays if they want to keep the game within reach, but Cousins could still find a way to be a productive fantasy quarterback. The Patriots have given up the eighth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks, and with Cousins getting back a healthy Jordan Reed, he should find a way to surpass 15.3 fantasy points (to hit value), even if most comes in garbage time.
