Justin Forsett, RB, Baltimore Ravens

This is maybe a more far-out call than others in this article, but bear with me. Justin Forsett had a knockout 2014 season for the Baltimore Ravens, but last season, Forsett turned 30, struggled through shoulder and ankle injuries all season, and eventually went on injured reserve with a broken arm. He was deactivated with an ugly -0.02 Total NEP per opportunity mark in November. The broken arm is more a fluke injury than anything else, but Forsett’s age and lack of track record is somewhat concerning for a lead back. He had some impressive performances in 2015 as a runner but had a 0.00 Reception NEP on 41 targets.

Add the fact that the Ravens still have the able receiving talents of Javorius Allen and also drafted rookie Kenneth Dixon in the fourth round of the NFL Draft this season, and Forsett’s job looks a lot less stable than many might believe. He’s not the highest-paid veteran back at a cap hit of $3.7 million this year, but with just $1.4 million in dead money, he could be a cut option.

Cut Savings: $2.30 million
