FanDuel Single-Game Daily Fantasy Football Helper: Week 17 Sunday Night

Week 16's Sunday Night Football game features an inter-division matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks. Following the main slate of action, fantasy enthusiasts can stay involved throughout the night by playing in FanDuel's Sunday night's single-game contests.

For those unfamiliar, single-game slates feature five flex spots with identical scoring to the main slate. However, kickers are included in these contests and there is an "MVP" roster slot. The MVP receives 1.5-times his total fantasy points, making this spot crucial.

Bookmakers currently favor the 49ers by 3.0-point with a 45.5-point over/under. Here are the notable matchups to target on this slate.

MVP Consideration

Jimmy Garoppolo ($15,000) - Jimmy Garoppolo stands out with a solid matchup against the Seahawks. Garoppolo already ranks fifth overall in completion percentage (68.5 percent) and 10th in net yards per attempt (7.11). According to our schedule-adjusted metrics, the Seahawks sit 15th in pass defense. Seattle also ranks 26th in passing yards allowed to opposing offenses (263.5). Playing with the division on the line, Garoppolo might also provide a contrarian approach with Russell Wilson on the other side of the matchup.

Raheem Mostert ($13,000) - Taking over this backfield mid-season, Raheem Mostert has played at least 50 percent of San Francisco's snaps in four straight games. Importantly, Mostert has also received 12 touches in each of those games, including six total red zone touches. As for matchup, the Seahawks rank 24th in rushing defense on the year. With the 49ers favored by 3.0 points and a positive matchup on deck, Mostert looks like an upside play tonight.

Travis Homer ($11,500) - With Chris Carson, Rashaad Penny, and C.J. Prosise all slated to miss this game, Travis Homer stands as the primary beneficiary in Seattle's offense. Homer stepped up to play 49 percent of Seattle's snaps last week with the various injuries. With the elevated playing time, Homer handled 13 touches, including an absurd eight targets in the pass game. While a timeshare remains likely, Homer looks like the early favorite to lead this committee.

Value Plays

D.K. Metcalf ($9,500) - Confusingly priced below $10,000, D.K. Metcalf stands out as a supreme value on this Week 17 single-game slate. Quiet in recent weeks, Metcalf received only five targets total in Seattle's last two games. However, he retained his every-down role and could benefit from negative game script here. Notably, San Francisco's pass defense ranks second in all of football. However, the 49ers allowed Julio Jones and Robert Woods to record 134 and 117 receiving yards, respectively, in their last two games.

Tevin Coleman ($6,500) - Now playing a change-of-pace role in San Francisco's offense, Tevin Coleman logged 30 percent and 45 percent of San Francisco's snaps in their last two games. While he saw just 10 total touches in this span, his usage and price provide a solid salary saving option. Still receiving a red zone touch in back-to-back weeks, Coleman could find the end zone in a game in which the 49ers favored by 3.0 points.

David Moore ($5,500) - With Malik Turner set to miss this game, David Moore should be on the field a lot tonight. Moore is averaging a 25 percent snap share over his last seven games, with 2.5 targets per game. As noted above, San Francisco is one of the toughest matchups for opposing passing attacks, but recent cracks open the door for productive performances. With a cheap price, Moore can help us jam in a few studs.
