Earl Thomas breaks leg in Seahawks' win
Seattle Seahawks defensive back Earl Thomas broke his leg on Sunday during a Week 4 victory over the Arizona Cardinals, reports NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Thomas will be placed on injured reserve. On a positive note, it was a clean break and Thomas should be 100 percent for free agency, or the Super Bowl if it becomes relevant. The 29-year-old contract-year veteran held out of training camp before reluctantly reporting to the Seahawks prior to Week 1 and was fined by the team for missing practices last week in an effort to protect his body. Thomas' tenure in Seattle is fully expected to come to an end this offseason.
Thomas recorded 22 tackles (19 solo) with 3 interceptions and 5 pass deflections this season.
