Buccaneers 'have more faith than ever' in Ronald Jones

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers "have more faith than ever" in running back Ronald Jones, per general manager Jason Licht.

What It Means:

"We have a lot of faith in Ronald," Licht claimed. "We have more faith in him than we ever have." Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians previously said the team will look to add a "pass-catching back" this offseason, but the departure of Peyton Barber should create more carries for Jones. He opened the year with 13-plus carries and at least 70 yards in three of the first four games, but only saw that much volume in two more games the rest of the way and didn't clear 70 yards again until the final two contests. Neither Jones nor Barber played more than 55.0 percent of snaps in a single game last season.

Jones averaged 9.4 FanDuel points (RB37) and 64.6 yards from scrimmage with 6 touchdowns last season. He ranked 35th in Rushing Net Expected Points per play (-0.05) and 31st in success rate (39.0).
