Rico Dowdle (ankle) held out Wednesday for Cowboys
Dallas Cowboys running back Rico Dowdle (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday for Week 17 against the Detroit Lions.
Dowdle was downgraded after logging a limited session on Tuesday. The Cowboys might be managing his reps on a short week, but Dowdle will likely need to practice on Thursday in order to play on Saturday night. Tony Pollard could see a few more touches if Dowdle is inactive or limited.
numberFire's models project Dowdle for 5.2 touches and 25.1 yards versus the Lions on Saturday. The Lions are allowing the fewest FanDuel points per game to running backs this season and they have the eighth-best run defense in the league, according to our opponent-adjusted efficiency model.
