Malcolm Perry expected to work out of Dolphins' slot
Miami Dolphins seventh-round rookie wide receiver Malcolm Perry is expected to play in the slot, writes Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald.
Perry played quarterback and slot back in college as part of the Navy Midshipmen's triple-option offense, but Salguero expects the rookie to work primarily out of the slot at the professional level. He could also see manufactured touches out of the backfield and should get opportunities as a returner (24.6-yard average in college).
Perry finished 2nd in the nation in rushing yards (2,017) and scored 21 touchdowns as a senior. He had 22 catches for 470 yards (21.4 per reception) and 3 touchdowns over his collegiate career.
