Zack Martin (COVID-19) out for Cowboys' Week 1 contest against Tampa Bay
Dallas Cowboys offensive guard Zack Martin was placed on the COVID-19 injury list after recently testing positive.
Martin will miss Thursday's 2021 season opener after the Cowboys' star offensive guard was placed on their COVID-19 reserve list. In a matchup against a tough run defense, Connor McGovern will need to step up at right guard for Ezekiel Elliott to get off to a quick start this season.
Per Pro Football Focus on 223 running snaps last season, McGovern produced slightly better as a blocker with a 61.3 rating while allowing 16 pressures and 3 sacks on 383 passing downs.
