Cowboys likely to stand pat at 34th pick
The Dallas Cowboys are unlikely to trade up from the No. 34 pick, ESPN's Ed Werder reports.
Owner Jerry Jones considered trading up to No. 32, but with multiple players with first-round grades still on the board, it looks like the Cowboys will stand pat. Werder suggested Dallas could be targeting a pass rusher, which aligns with a similar report from NFL Network. Clemson's Kevin Dodd and Eastern Kentucky's Noah Spence are both candidates to go at 34, though Dodd might be the safer pick given Spence's history of off-field issues.
The Cowboys ranked 22nd in schedule-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play last season.
