Brandin Cooks (calf) likely out for Texans Week 14
Houston Texans wide receiver Brandin Cooks (calf) is expected to miss Week 14 against the Dallas Cowboys.
Cooks has missed back-to-back practices and is trending toward a second straight absence. Nico Collins (foot) is also expected to be ruled out, so Phillip Dorsett and Chris Moore will likely be Davis Mills' starting receivers in a tough Week 14 matchup on the road with the Cowboys.
In Week 9 with Cooks and Collins sidelined, Dorsett played 46-of-60 offensive snaps (77%) and Moore logged 44 snaps (73%) while Tyron Johnson (42%) and Jalen Camp (25%) were involved to a lesser extent. Dorsett and Moore led the team with 5 targets each, but nobody else had more than 2 targets. They will have a tough time against a Cowboys team that has the No. 1 overall defense and No. 1 pass defense this season, per numberFire's nERD rankings.
