Russell Wilson 'leaner and meaner' for Broncos
Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson (knee) said he feels "leaner and meaner" after losing some weight in the offseason.
Wilson is participating in the Broncos' OTAs after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right knee earlier this offseason. Coming off a career-worst campaign in his first year with the Broncos, the 34-year-old quarterback is hoping to rebound in 2023 under new head coach Sean Payton.
Wilson truly struggled in his first season away from the Seahawks, leading the Broncos to a brutal 4-11 record while posting career lows in passing touchdowns (16) and completion percentage (60.5%) and absorbing a career-high 55 sacks in 15 games, which tied for the most in the league in 2022.
