Chiefs' Travis Kelce (ankle) officially active for Week 6 contest
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce (ankle) will play in the team's Week 6 game against the Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football.
Kelce suffered a strange, non-contact ankle injury during the Chiefs' Week 5 win over the Minnesota Vikings, and while initial reports indicated a potential high ankle sprain, the star tight end was able to return to that game and then practiced during the week. It sounds like he should be good to go tonight, but his performance on the field could still be limited by his injury.
Kelce has an $8,300 salary on FanDuel in Week 6 and is projected to put up 14.8 fantasy points against the Broncos, with 6.3 catches for 72.7 yards and 0.7 touchdowns. The Broncos have fielded the worst defense in the league so far this year, putting Kelce and the rest of the Chiefs' offense in an excellent spot to produce fantasy points.
