DeAndre Hopkins (toe) expected to play Thursday for Titans
Tennessee Titans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins (toe) is expected to play on Thursday against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 9, reports Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Hopkins sat out practice on Wednesday, but the Titans were mostly managing his reps on a short week. He caught 4 passes on 6 targets for 128 yards and 3 touchdowns in Will Levis' debut last week against the Atlanta Falcons. Hopkins will face stiffer competition on Thursday night in Pittsburgh, but top safety Minkah Fitzpatrick (hamstring) is out, so the veteran receiver might be able to catch another long one from the rookie. Hopkins leads the Titans in target share (27.8%), air yards share (41.9%), and red zone share (39.1%) this season.
Hopkins has a $13,000 single-game salary on Thursday and numberFire's models project him for 9.7 FanDuel points, 8.0 targets, 4.7 receptions, and 58.9 yards. The Steelers' pass defense ranks 10th in our opponent-adjusted NEP model, but due to poor play by the offense, they allow the fourth-most FanDuel points per game to wide receivers.
