Mitchell has started to take over Baltimore's backfield in recent weeks, working into an increasingly large role beside incumbent starter Gus Edwards as the Ravens head down the home stretch. The undrafted rookie has been incredibly efficient when given the chance, and Baltimore has seemed increasingly interested in tapping into his potential over the past few weeks. His growing role looks like it could be here to stay.

Mitchell led the Ravens' backfield in carries (9) and yards (64) in Week 12, adding 2 receptions for an additional 25 yards as a receiver. He's averaging a whopping 9.3 yards per attempt this season and is looking like the lightning to Edwards' thunder. His emergence has pushed Justice Hill back to a bench-warming role.
