Ravens' Keaton Mitchell suffered season-ending ACL injury in Week 15
Baltimore Ravens running back Keaton Mitchell suffered a season-ending ACL injury during the team's Week 15 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Mitchell had been having a fantastic night in Week 15, routinely beating Jaguars defenders to the edge and bursting past tacklers for chunk yardage gains, but suffered a brutal knee injury after getting his leg stuck awkwardly in the ground during a tackle attempt. Without Mitchell's explosive element the Ravens will likely be forced to rely on Gus Edwards and Justice Hill as they close out the regular season.
Mitchell was up to 74 yards on just 9 carries (8.1 yards per carry) prior to his exit in Week 15 and will finish his exciting rookie season with a ridiculous 8.4 yards per carry average. Mitchell will hopefully recover enough in the offseason to compete for the team's starting job in the 2024 season.
