Isiah Pacheco (quad) idle Wednesday for Chiefs
Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco (quad) will not practice on Wednesday for Week 18 versus the Los Angeles Chargers, per head coach Andy Reid.
Pacheco is reportedly dealing with a quad contusion and will sit out the first practice of the week. The Chiefs are locked into the No. 3 seed in the AFC and Reid already said Patrick Mahomes will be rested on Sunday, so they may hold Pacheco out as well. La'Mical Perine could end up leading the backfield if Pacheco is limited or inactive. Clyde Edwards-Helaire and practice squad member Keaontay Ingram are other options for additional backfield work.
The Chargers are ranked 18th in FanDuel points allowed per game to running backs this season and their run defense is also 18th in numberFire's opponent-adjusted efficiency rankings.
