Rashee Rice (hamstring) sitting out Chiefs practice Wednesday
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice (hamstring) will not practice on Wednesday for Week 18 versus the Los Angeles Chargers, per head coach Andy Reid.
Rice could be rested on Sunday since the Chiefs are locked into the No. 3 seed in the AFC. Reid already said Blaine Gabbert will start in place of Patrick Mahomes, so the passing game will already not be operating at full capacity in Week 18. Skyy Moore could see an uptick in playing time if Rice is held out.
The Chargers are allowing the third-most FanDuel points per game to wide receivers this season and their pass defense is also ranked third-worst in numberFire's opponent-adjusted efficiency metrics.
