Lions' Sam LaPorta (knee) downgraded to limited practice Thursday
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers downgraded tight end Sam LaPorta (knee) from a full practice participant to a limited one for Thursday's practice session.
LaPorta started the week off on a good note by logging a full practice session on Wednesday, but was downgraded to a limited participant on Thursday. The rookie tight end is dealing with a bone bruise and a hyper-extended knee injury, so it's possible the Lions are just playing it safe with their breakout pass-catcher. His status over the coming days will be important to monitor.
LaPorta could have a soft matchup against the Bucs on Sunday if he does suit up, as Tampa Bay allowed the second-most fantasy points per game to the tight end position. Our model currently projects him for 10.7 fantasy points, with 5.1 receptions for 53.9 yards and 0.5 scores.
