Richard Rodgers slides ahead of Quarless on Packers depth chart
Green Bay Packers tight end Richard Rodgers has "passed" Andrew Quarless for playing time in the Packers offense.
What It Means:
Rodgers is now slotted atop the Packers depth chart at tight end. Andrew Quarless could see a suspension to start the season due to a July arrest.
The Packers ranked first in our schedule-adjusted Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) metric last season. Rodgers ranked 22nd among tight ends with at least 30 targets with a 0.61 in our Reception NEP per target metric last season. Our algorithms project Rodgers to finish the year with 25 receptions, 276 yards, and two receiving touchdowns this season.
