Tramon Williams expected to start for Cardinals in Week 7
Arizona Cardinals defensive back Tramon Williams will be starting ahead of Justin Bethel for against the Los Angeles Rams, per comments from head coach Bruce Arians.
Arians says Williams is "in a bunch of packages, and he'll be playing a bunch." It makes sense, as Pro Football Focus currently ranks Bethel 99th out of 108 qualifying cover corners this season. He's allowed six touchdowns in six games. That said, Williams is 34-years-old and provides a beatable matchup for Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp. Patrick Peterson is expected to shadow Sammy Watkins in the contest.
The Cardinals enter Week 7 ranked 25th in schedule-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points allowed per play this season.
