Sammy Watkins to hit open market after not being tagged by Rams
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Sammy Watkins will not receive the team's franchise tag.
The Rams decided to tag Lamarcus Joyner by Tuesday's deadline, making Watkins eligible for free agency when it begins on March 14. It's possible the two sides work out a deal, but the 24-year-old wideout is at least expected to test the open market.
Watkins averaged 8.1 FanDuel points per game last season, with 39 catches (70 targets) for 593 yards and 8 touchdowns.
