Jerick McKinnon injures knee in practice, will undergo MRI
San Francisco 49ers' running back Jerick McKinnon injured his knee in practice on Sunday. He will undergo an MRI.
This is obviously not great news. Niners' beat writer Joe Fann initially said that the injury didn't look serious, but even minor knee issues can end a season. If the worst is to happen and McKinnon is out for an extended period, Matt Breida (shoulder) would be next in line to get the bulk of the work at running back.
Our projections currently have McKinnon compiling 913.3 rushing yards, 54.8 receptions, 399.7 receiving yards, and 5.8 touchdowns.
