Boston Bruins
Players to target: Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron, and David Pastrnak
The Boston Bruins are coming off an impressive 6-3 win against the Philadelphia Flyers, and this line was a huge part of the win. Marchand came away with five points, while Pastrnak had two and Bergeron added one. If the Bruins are serious contenders, they are going to need big performances from their top line now that they are all healthy.
This is one of the most dominant possession lines in the league with a 64.6 Corsi For % and 76 Corsi For per 60 minutes. Both those numbers are hard to come by on their own, but together they make them one of the best.
They should see a lot of time against John Tavares and the top line for the New York Islanders on Monday. In their meeting on December 20, neither recorded points, but Bergeron and Marchand had five and six shots on goal, respectively, while missing Pastrnak. Tavares' line is allowing 56 Corsi Against per 60 minutes and 9.5 Scoring Chances against per 60 minutes, so the Bruins' top line should be at an advantage against any line they match up against.
