Players to target: Andreas Athanasiou, Frans Nielsen, and Thomas Vanek

Since Anthanasiou moved up to the second line with Nielsen and Vanek, he has recorded seven points in five games. Adding his speed and playmaking ability has jump-started this line to the tune of 74.8 Corsi For per 60 minutes, a 57 Corsi For %, and 18.6 Scoring Chances For per 60 minutes.

The Red Wings' second line will see time against almost every line for the opposition if we go by recent matchup data. However, most of their time will be against the top two lines for the Montreal Canadiens.

While Max Pacioretty and the top line poses an offensive threat, they have allowed 71.8 Corsi Against per 60 minutes and almost 13 Scoring Chances For per 60 minutes. A matchup against Carey Price is not usually one to attack, but he has given up 4, 7, and 4 goals in his last three starts. Even with great numbers and power play time, this line should go overlooked - the perfect stack for tournament players.
