3 NHL FanDuel Values to Target on 12/6/19
If you follow the NHL, you already know all of the top players. Obviously, when playing DFS, those players will come at a high cost. In this article, we are looking to find the cheaper value plays to help you afford the superstars.
Dylan Strome, Winger, Chicago Blackhawks
FanDuel Price: $5,000
Dylan Strome is off to a solid start to the season with the Chicago Blackhawks and a large part of that is being on a fantastic line at even strength. Strome has been centering Alex DeBrincat and Patrick Kane, two of the best wingers in the game.
The Blackhawks visit the New Jersey Devils tonight, and the Devils are a team that has had a lot of issues with their goaltending. Mackenzie Blackwood is slated to start tonight, and he's been pretty terrible. He's currently sporting a 3.17 goals against average (GAA) and a .896% save percentage (SV%) which bodes well for the Blackhawks.
Nick Cousins, Winger, Montreal Canadiens
FanDuel Price: $3,200
Nick Cousins is not really known for his offensive talent, but there is plenty of reason to like him tonight. He's very cheap and is playing on an even-strength line that consists of Max Domi and Nick Suzuki. In addition to playing with two solid players at even strength, Cousins is also expected to be on the top power-play unit.
The New York Rangers allow 3.26 goals against per game (ninth most) and have a 23rd-ranked penalty kill (76.4 percent success rate). Furthermore, the Rangers are on the tail end of a back-to-back, and Alexandar Georgiev is expected to play again tonight. He faced 47 shots yesterday, so fatigue could be a real factor tonight.
Jakob Chychrun, Defense, Arizona Coyotes
FanDuel Price: $3,700
While Jakob Chychrun's 11 points in 30 games is down from last year, the shot rate and block rate are about the same. He is averaging over two shots per game and over 1.5 blocks per game, which does give him a decent floor.
It is unknown who will be starting in goal for the Pittsburgh Penguins as of now, but it will likely be Matt Murray. who has struggled this season. He's given up a 2.84 GAA and a .897% SV%. Although the Coyotes are on the second night of a back-to-back, there is still reason to believe Chychrun can be successful.
