4 NHL FanDuel Values to Target on Tuesday 11/2/21
Spending lower in any daily fantasy lineup is a way to incorporate some diversity into your roster. In NHL DFS, there is typically more value in this strategy but also a good deal more risk. This is especially true on tonight's slate, where there are lots of lower-salaried plays. Plugging in these options will afford you more chances to play some studs, as well.
With nine games in all on Tuesday night, there are a few more value options than normal. Let's take a look!
Ryan Hartman, Center, Minnesota Wild
FanDuel Salary: $3,900
The Minnesota Wild are giving Ryan Hartman second-line minutes and significant power-play time as well. The results have been eye-popping; he has three or more shots on goal in six of his last seven games. Also, Hartman has been dangerous often with the puck with four goals scored already.
Minnesota draws a matchup against a young, but unrested, Ottawa Senators' team on a back-to-back. It is no wonder why the Wild are projected to score 2.99 goals tonight and could potentially score more.
The center has shown few signs of slowing down. His quality shot and chance output have him around three scoring chances a night, and Hartman is one to watch against a defense that can be caught in vulnerable positions.
Sonny Milano, Wing, Anaheim Ducks
FanDuel Salary: $3,800
The Anaheim Ducks' winger possesses nice speed and could cause fits for the slower, less mobile Devils defensemen on Tuesday night.
It is nice that Milano has a goal and three assists while being pressed into an increased role. He is averaging more than 15 minutes of ice time per contest, and he has two or more shots in four of the five appearances this year.
He is currently skating on the second line and second power-play unit with Adam Henrique for a potential mini-stack of these two lowly squads as well.
Moritz Seider, Defenseman, Detroit Red Wings
FanDuel Salary: $4,000
Moritz Seider never expected to have the kind of impact offensively this fast for the Detroit Red Wings, but eight assists in nine games get one noticed pretty quickly.
Also, the Detroit blueliner will go up against the Montreal Canadiens, who are not the most fleet of foot but will try to shoot the puck a lot. They attempt the eighth-most shots per 60 minutes in the NHL.
Seider provides a nice floor with 13 shots and 11 blocked shots on the young season, and this salary is a tremendous value for any team's top defensemen and top power-play unit captain. Even Detroit's.
John Gibson, Goalie, Anaheim Ducks
FanDuel Salary: $7,000
John Gibson is expected to start for the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday night versus the Devils.
The Anaheim Ducks' goaltender only faced 18 shots on Sunday versus the Canadiens, but compared to the 206 shots he faced in the six games prior, the Montreal game had to feel like heaven for the besieged netminder.
The Devils are a team that can be inept on offense but especially on the power play. They had over 30 shots on goal again versus the Columbus Blue Jackets and only came away with three goals. Gibson should see more work in this tilt; the Devils are eighth in the NHL in scoring chances for (193).
He has plenty of win upside in a matchup there for the taking.
