3 NHL FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Wednesday 4/27/22

Spending lower in any daily fantasy lineup is a way to incorporate some diversity into your roster. In NHL DFS, there is typically more value in this strategy but also a good deal of risk, too. The right low-salary plays can give you good production while affording you more chances to roster high-salary studs.

Wednesday night has five games on the schedule. Let's see what value can be found.

Morgan Frost, Center, Philadelphia Flyers

FanDuel Salary: $3,800

The Philadelphia Flyers' middle-six center is averaging around 15 minutes per night, and Morgan Frost has two goals and an assist in his last three games.

The floor is solid as Frost has two or more shots on goal in seven straight contests while blocking four shots in that span.

Given how high-scoring this game could be on Wednesday night, Frost will have a good deal of value.

Morgan Barron is a viable alternate at just $3,500. Barron played more than 15 minutes the other night.

Mike Hoffman, Wing, Montreal Canadiens

FanDuel Salary: $3,900

Mike Hoffman is closing out the 2021-22 season on a nice little run. Most everyone is likely wondering where this has been all season long.

Hoffman has two goals and an assist with 12 shots and 14 scoring chances over his past three contests.

The New York Rangers can give up some goals at times. Even Igor Shesterkin permitted four more goals at home on Tuesday night. That is rare.

Hoffman could cause New York some problems on Wednesday night, especially on the man advantage.

Alexander Edler, Defenseman, Los Angeles Kings

FanDuel Salary: $3,800

Yes, the old "Swiss-Army" DFS knife is producing on defense once more. Even if this is a brief run, it's still significant.

Now, Alexander Elder has real-world points in consecutive games. Over his past two outings, he has a goal and two assists with one shot on goal and five blocked shots.

The defender should see top-four ice time for the foreseeable future. Playing in all situations helps his potential to block more shots on Wednesday against the Seattle Kraken, a team that is not rested.

Edler will not break the budget on Wednesday night and is a solid value target.

Anton Stralman is also worth a look at $3,900. The Arizona Coyotes' blueliner has two goals and three assists in his past four starts.
