NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Sunday 3/4/18
If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.
With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.
We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.
Let's take a look at who you should target on today's main slate, which starts at 6 p.m. EST.
Best of the Best
Anthony Davis (FanDuel Price: $12,200) - Davis' price tag on Sunday is pretty hefty as it is $1,200 more than Giannis Antetokounmpo's. Even with the extra cash it will cost you, the New Orleans Pelicans' big man is someone you may not want to fade on a six-game slate. In his last seven games, AD has dropped at least 72 FanDuel points four times, including three slate-winning performances of 90-plus FanDuel points. All he did in those three other "duds" in the last three weeks was record at least 47.5 FanDuel points in each one. Sunday's matchup plays to his favor as the Dallas Mavericks rank in the bottom-four of the NBA in defensive rating. Add in the fast pace the Pels run at, and Davis may cause some pain to both Dallas and DFS players who bypass him on Sunday.
