A Wide Receiver to Target in Each Round of Your Fantasy Football Draft
Round 8: DeSean Jackson, Washington Redskins
ADP: 91st overall (8.04)
DeSean Jackson didn't play until Week 9 last season, but once he got on the field, he was really good.
Over the final eight weeks (not counting fantasy-irrelevant Week 17), Jackson totaled 30 catches for 528 yards and 4 touchdowns. In that span, he was a WR1 (top 12) on three occasions and saw at least 5 targets in six of the eight games.
The speedster still has the ability to rip off a game-breaking play at any moment.
Jackson has long been an undervalued asset when it comes to real-life football. He had a drastic impact on the play of Washington Redskins' signal caller Kirk Cousins, who scored 6.66 more fantasy points per game with Jackson in the lineup.
This season, he should be in a good position to contribute as a fantasy weapon, too.
Per our projections, Jackson is one of the most underrated players in fantasy football. We have him as the 21st-ranked receiver, between Keenan Allen and Eric Decker, and Jackson coming off the board as WR38. Forecasted for just 70 receptions, he certainly loses some luster in PPR formats, but in standard leagues, he's a steal at this price.
