San Francisco 49ers

Top Needs: QB, WR, IOL, OLB, CB

The San Francisco 49ers also have a roster devoid of talent, with their wide receivers combining for the worst Reception NEP per target among receiving corps. When Jeremy Kerley is one of your best wideouts, you might have talent issues. The 49ers’ quarterbacks combined for the fourth-worst Passing NEP per drop back and second-lowest Passing Success Rate in 2016, and Colin Kaepernick is an impending free agent who may not return.

The offensive line isn’t doing them any favors, however. The interior line is giving no push for the running backs, ranking 20th in Rushing Success Rate, and the offensive tackles allowed the 7th-most Sack NEP in the league.

Ranking 26th and 30th in Adjusted Defensive Passing and Rushing NEP per play, respectively, also isn’t great. The young defensive line with Arik Armstead and DeForest Buckner did well in 2016, but they need support from an aging linebacker group and a ravaged secondary.
