NFC East
Dallas Cowboys - Bye Week
New York Giants - Fowler Power
Quarterback: Eli Manning (100%)
Running Backs: Saquon Barkley (97%)
Wide Receivers: Odell Beckham (96%), Sterling Shepard (96%), Bennie Fowler (69%)
Tight Ends: Evan Engram (89%), Rhett Ellison (40%)
Look, this team is just a mess. They are 1-7 and have no realistic chance of turning things around this season. Whether or not that means a switch at quarterback is yet to be determined, but it looks like receiver Bennie Fowler is going to get a chance for fantasy relevance in the second half of the season. The former Denver Bronco caught 4 passes on 7 targets for 48 yards in this week's loss to the Washington Redskins. There is no creativity on the Giants, so if they continue to play from behind, then Fowler could see more work going forward. In really deep leagues (say, 16 teams or more), he could be worth an add, if nothing more than a fill-in player on bye weeks. The Giants play the Niners and Bucs after their bye.
Philadelphia Eagles - Adams Leapfrogs Clement
Quarterback: Carson Wentz (100%)
Running Backs: Wendell Smallwood (50%), Josh Adams (29%), Corey Clement (21%)
Wide Receivers: Nelson Agholor (92%), Alshon Jeffery (87%), Jordan Matthews (55%), DeAndre Carter (10%)
Tight Ends: Zach Ertz (92%), Dallas Goedert (48%)
See ya, Corey Clement. The Eagles' running back situation has been far from ideal this season. Jay Ajayi is out for the season. Darren Sproles may or may not come back. Wendell Smallwood has stepped up into the RB1 role and held his own, but Corey Clement has struggled, averaging just 3.3 yards per carry and 8.2 yards per reception, both far below his numbers from last year. Josh Adams has seen those struggles and is ready to take over Clement's role. By the way he played, he may do more than just that. His 9 carries and 61 rushing yards led the team in this week's win over the Jaguars. If you're in need of a running back, add him now for the potential he could bring in the second half of the season. The Eagles have now added Golden Tate from the Detroit Lions. He should immediately step into a starting role and render Jordan Matthews moot.
Washington Redskins - Another Glimpse of Bibbs?
Quarterback: Alex Smith (100%)
Running Backs: Adrian Peterson (60%), Chris Thompson (38%)
Wide Receivers: Josh Doctson (82%), Maurice Harris (82%), Paul Richardson (68%), Michael Floyd (13%)
Tight Ends: Jordan Reed (78%), Vernon Davis (49%), Jeremy Sprinkle (28%)
Chris Thompson injured his ribs in Washington's Week 8 win over the New York Giants. As such, Kapri Bibbs (who saw just 1% of the snaps this week) could once again reemerge as the passing back if Thompson is forced to miss any time. Bibbs saw 4 catches for 43 yards and a score in Week 7, and he could be worth using as a flex play in Week 9 against the Atlanta Falcons, especially because there are six teams on bye this week. You may not want to start him, but you may have to start him (hey, I started Raheem Mostert this week...you do what you have to do).
