Things Are Picking Up for Doug Baldwin

Injury woes have made this a rough season for Doug Baldwin, and he failed to find the end zone in any of his first seven games this season, topping 15 fantasy points only once (and even then, barely).

Week 11 was his best week of the season as he notched season-highs in both targets (10) and receptions (7) while finding the end zone for the first time.

Baldwin didn't just fluke into that touchdown, either -- his three red zone targets accounted for half of the Seattle Seahawks' total, and this also marked Baldwin's first week seeing more than 1 target inside the 20.

As I wrote about before the season, there was a ton of red zone work open coming into the year for Seattle. They lost Jimmy Graham, who had seen a league-high 26 red zone targets last year, and Baldwin looked poised to get a big bump in touchdown upside.

A simple one-week spike in red zone looks wouldn't be enough to inspire huge confidence on its own, but when you add in the fact that he also saw a season-high in overall volume, this could be a sign that Baldwin is getting healthy, and that his work in scoring range is about to pick up as we enter the home stretch of the fantasy football season.
