Tight Ends

High-Cost Option: Rob Gronkowski $7,700

Not breaking any news here, but Rob Gronkowski possesses the highest floor and highest ceiling of all tight ends. In New England's earlier matchup with Buffalo, Gronk saw 13 targets, hauling in 7 of them for 113 yards and a score. Edelman's absence should only lead to Brady leaning on Gronk even more, particularly in the red zone, where Edelman's team-leading 17 targets should lead to Brady looking more towards Gronk's way (16 red zone targets on the season). The Bills have been great against opposing tight ends, allowing the ninth-fewest fantasy points, but Gronk is always in play as a different kind of mismatch. After four weeks above $8,000, Gronk's price was reduced by $300 making it a bit easier to stomach rostering him in a week with very few plays at the top of each position.

Mid-Cost Option: Travis Kelce $4,700

I'd much rather pay up for Gronk or find a lower salary guy this week, but if you're intent on finding a mid-range guy, Travis Kelce is at his lowest price of the season at only $4,700. The mighty "Zeus" gets a favorable matchup against the Chargers, who are allowing the 13th-most fantasy points to tight ends and are tied for the sixth-most touchdowns allowed. Kelce leads all Chiefs players in red zone targets and touchdowns and is seeing over 28% of the team's targets the past two weeks.

Low-Cost Option: Eric Ebron $3,500

We come back to it because it's still true: target tight ends playing against the Raiders. Eric Ebron takes them on this week, and they lead the league with 10 touchdowns given up to tight ends. Ebron has seen steady volume in this offense -- seeing over five targets in every game but one.

GPP Wildcard: Crockett Gillmore $3,300

Injuries have led to the Rams struggling to defend tight ends, as they've been giving up big chunk plays as evidenced by last week's mini-breakout by Zach Miller and the Bears. Crockett Gillmore stepped up for the Baltimore offense last week, catching 4 passes for 42 yards and a score. The Rams have given up the seventh-most receptions to tight ends and the 11th-most fantasy points. In one of this week's projected lowest scoring affairs, we're looking for red zone targets and a red zone score to come to fruition from Gillmore to hit value in what should be a lower-owned player this week.
