Jay Gruden: Jamison Crowder should be offseason priority for Washington
The Washington Redskins re-signing of impending free agent wide receiver Jamison Crowder should be an offseason priority, head coach Jay Gruden said Monday.
"He's got great quickness in intermediate routes, can separate, has good hands, he's tough, he's physical in the running game," said Gruden. "There is really not anything that Jamison can't do. We have to try and get him back for sure." An ankle injury forced Crowder to miss seven games in 2018, but he was effective when active, recording a career-high 13.4 yards per reception. Crowder turns 26 in June.
Crowder caught 29 passes (49 targets) for 388 yards and 2 touchdowns in nine games for Washington this season.
