Marcus Mariota reportedly moving on to Raiders
The Oakland Raiders have agreed to terms with quarterback Marcus Mariota, formerly of the Tennessee Titans, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Mariota is currently penciled in as the backup to incumbent Derek Carr, but things could change over the course of the next few months. The former top-two pick was benched for Ryan Tannehill last season, a move that helped propel the Titans to the AFC Championship game. Mariota turned 26 last October.
Mariota averaged 14.34 FanDuel points and 196.5 passing yards with 7 touchdowns and 2 interceptions over six starts before being benched, with an additional 21.5 yards on the ground. He added .03 Passing Net Expected Points per play to the Titans' offense, compared to the league average of 0.10.
