Chargers' Austin Ekeler (ankle) doubtful for Week 4 contest
The Los Angeles Chargers designated Austin Ekeler (ankle) as doubtful to play in their Week 4 game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Ekeler is still working his way back from the high ankle sprain he suffered in Week 1, and while the super star back was able to put in some limited practice sessions during the week, it looks like he will still need additional time before he can be cleared to play on game days again.
If Ekeler misses a third straight game, expected to see Joshua Kelley continue to operate as the Chargers' lead back. Kelley has not thrived without Ekeler in the lineup, but has handled the majority of Los Angeles' running back opportunities sans Ekeler. Our models currently project him for 8.5 fantasy points against the Raiders, while FanDuel has set his salary at $6,600.
