Vikings believe Justin Jefferson (chest) avoided serious injury in Week 14; considered day-to-day
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports that the Minnesota Vikings believe wide receiver Justin Jefferson (chest) avoided suffering a serious injury in the team's Week 14 game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Jefferson took a massive hit in the second quarter of Sunday's game, reeling in a literal hospital pass from quarterback Josh Dobbs, who was later benched for his poor play. The star receiver was taken from the field to a local hospital, where all of his tests returned normal and negative results. Jefferson was cleared to fly home with his team and does not appear to have suffered anything too significant, but his status for Week 15 could still be up in the air.
Jefferson finished his return to the field with 2 catches for 23 yards. If he does suit up for Saturday's Week 15 game, he will hopefully be catching passes from Nick Mullens.
