Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes (rest) out for Week 18, Blaine Gabbert to start against Chargers
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (rest) will not play in Week 18's game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Mahomes will sit out Week 18's game against the Chargers with the Chiefs locked into the number three seed in the AFC. Blaine Gabbert will be under center. According to Andy Reid, Kansas City will rest "some" other starters, in addition to Mahomes.
Gabbert will face a Chargers' defense ranked 29th overall in numberFire's Power Rankings. They rank third-worst against the pass.
