Ravens trade back into first-round to draft QB Lamar Jackson with 32nd pick
The Baltimore Ravens have traded the 52nd and 125th pick in the 2018 NFL Draft in addition to a 2019 second-rounder to the Philadephia Eagles in exchange for the 32nd overall pick, which they used on Louisville Cardinals quarterback Lamar Jackson.
The 2016 Heisman Trophy winner finds an ideal landing spot as he gets to sit for a year and learn from elite quarterback Joe Flacco. He will also compete with newly-signed Robert Griffin III for the backup quarterback spot in 2018. Make no mistake though, Jackson is the signal caller of the future for the Ravens. By getting selected in the first-round, Jackson will be under Baltimore's control for five years.
Jackson was a true dual-threat quarterback, averaging over 3,000 yards passing per season while racking up over 3,100 rushing yards in 2016 and 17 combined. In three seasons, he threw for 69 touchdowns while rushing for 50 more.
