3 FanDuel Premier League Under-the-Radar Plays for Matchweek 6
If you have played daily fantasy sports for a while, you know the importance of being contrarian in large-field tournaments. Recognizing which players are going to be owned by the masses and finding others who you think have a similar point projection but will come at much lower ownership can really separate yourself from your opponents.
The same goes for DFS Premier League. Even though the large-field tournaments aren't quite as large as they are for other sports, there is still value in identifying quality under-the-radar plays.
This article will discuss FanDuel's main Saturday slate, which starts at 10:00 a.m. EST and features seven matches.
Matchweek 6 |
---|
Saturday, September 22nd |
Bournemouth at Burnley |
Huddersfield at Leicester City |
Southampton at Liverpool |
Newcastle at Crystal Palace |
Wolves at Manchester United |
Manchester City at Cardiff |
Tottenham at Brighton |
The sixth main slate of the year features four elite sides and is the first to include seven matches, up one from the usual six. Coming off their thrilling victory over PSG in the Champions League on Tuesday, Liverpool are 2.0-goal favorites at home against Southampton. Manchester United are 1.0-goal favorites at home against Wolves, while Manchester City (-2.0) and Tottenham (-0.5), are road favorites against Cardiff and Brighton, respectively.
Similar to last weekend, there are numerous options at the top-end of each position, which should lead to ownership being spread out. It is always difficult to predict where the goals will come from for both Liverpool and Manchester City, but the two players in the best form right now are Leroy Sane ($8,500), and Roberto Firmino ($11,000). Expect both of these players to carry high ownership, especially Sane at his very reasonable salary. Like last week, the plethora of high priced options will increase ownership on the value plays needed to fit them in while lowering ownership on mid-priced options across the board.
With that in mind, here are three players to consider -- especially for tournament formats -- this weekend.
